Good, but room for improvement, especially instructions

After reading the other reviews about the pins being fragile, I just unplug it, hold it face down, and pull the sliding clip a little, letting the battery fall out without stressing the pins. I do like the dedicated chargers better, I had one for my previous phone, unfortunately, this is the only one availability for my phone. If the pins would stay where you put them, and the spacers would too in a way to help it line up each time, that would be great. Also, the complete lack on instructions was annoying, but reading reviews and watching the little video helped.
All of that said, it does the job nicely. I like to have one battery charging while the other is in use. That way I never run out. I just swap when it shuts down. The extra battery I bought from here also is nice. Similar life to the factory battery, but a lot less expense.

Fiddly pins, lack of instructions.

Battery Charger - For use with Samsung Galaxy Nexus (i9250)

I decided to buy a battery charger when I bought a second battery (from this site also). Figured it would make sense to be able to charge the battery without it being in my phone. So, I received this charger, thought it was going to be hard to get it to work (since some other reviewers said they had issues working the pins), but it was actually real easy, a breeze to do. :) Before you plug the charger in, set the battery in place (on mine I used the 1st and 3rd plates, the ones that are directly in line with the + and - symbols. {see pic}) The blue light will appear showing that it is in place correctly. If the blue light don't appear, try placing the pins on different plates (others have said that theirs use the two outermost plates). Once you successfully see the blue light indicating that the battery is inserted correctly, just plug the charger in, via wall outlet or usb, and that's it, just leave it to charge. As long as you be sure to pull the battery down away from the pins before taking the battery out (vs. just ripping the battery out of the charger) it should be good and last you a decent amount of time. The slider plate also turns completely around to allow for multiple battery sizes to fit. Seems to be working fine so far, and for $4.99 (regular price $15.99) it was worth a try. I did not order this item,but I have order other items and was please;but trying to return something back to them u catch holy hell. let me remind u that these part comes from HONG KONG,it took me about 2 weeks to send an item back..after all of that they gave me RA# to ship the items that I order to much of to some part of California. ....

I've ordered external battery chargers a couple times before from cellphoneshop, and they always worked great. When I saw this universal charger on the site, I figured it would be a great way to not have to buy a new charger whenever I get a new phone. Unfortunately, the dedicated phone chargers made for each specific phone model are much better than this universal cahrger. You have to fiddle with the prongs each time you use it to get it to charge. And it feels like it is going to break at any minute. I would strongly recommend just buying the dedicated chargers - they're cheap enough that it isn't too bad to just buy a new one if you switch phones later.

Charger stopped working

The chagrer worked o.k. if somewhat slow charging compared to the charger that came with the smartphone. After using it for about a month, the unit stopped working. It looks like one of the charger's electrical contacts has broken loose and has receded into the charger.
Pros:
convenient for charging a spare battery. Price would have been very good, but even one cent is too much for a charger that doesn't work.

Given the price of this universal battery charger, it's hard to complain at all. It does the job and you can charge multiple devices at the same time.
Pros:
It's nice to have an extra charger at such a low cost. And it's nice that it has a USB charging capability as well.
Cons:
The "universal" charger is not intuitive. It has not broken yet, but I anticipate that it will eventually. It appears to have an elastic component that you have to stretch, when you insert your batter. Obviously, elasticity has a breaking point. Nothing is elastic forever.. So, like i said, this will eventually break..

My cell phone quit charging and the only other option was to replace the cell phone or have a new USB Micro socket installed. Neither of which appealed to me. So I lucked upon this little charger purchased an additional battery ond I"m back in business. I have had trouble with the micro sockets (junk) in the past with previous phones and was not suprised when my current phone had the same problem. Till they deciden to fix this problem this little charger is the best solution.......Again a great little gizmo.

Works great u don't have to put ur phone down to charge it when the battery runs low. If you have a spare battery you just switch ur battery on your cell and keep on moving while the other one charges. Works with all different types of batteries.

Works well, charged all the batteries fine. I dropped the charger once, and one of the wires fell off inside. took it apart, re-soldered the connection, and I am still using it.

Great product but no instructions. The two prongs should connect with the outside contacts on the battery. My wife has a phone that will no longer charge her battery. She has 3 batteries and keeps two spares charged. This willl not work with large battaries as it will only expand so far. We have a Samsung Reality. We have had this charger for a few months and so far it is still working perfectly.
