Works great and even works indoors under a strong light/lamp. :) I find that my charger charges my Samsung Galaxy S3 pretty darn fast. too. Was excited to get the extra wall charger and USB cable...will use them for travel. Kudos to the manufacturer!!! Cons:No travel/carry case but I did find a really nice flat, hard case at Wal-Mart for $10.00 to put mine in. The case was just perfect for the charger and cables needed. It is awesome ! It charges quicker than if I were using a plug in version & the phone doesn't gt hot like it does with my car charger! It is well worth the money. I keep it in my windowsill at home or in the car, that way it is always charged and redy to go. (I would not leave in the car all the time because I'm not sure how it would do with the heat. Pros:Charges WAY faster than plug in chargers.Flat & Portable. Can use for multiple tech items ! Great price ! By Christopher from New Mexico on August 6, 2012 This Solar Charger is very cheaply made. It has plastic over the solar panel which is not completely sealed to the solar panel. If this was the only problem it would be no big deal, but there is way more problems. The cables it comes with are too cheap to stay plugged into anything and never get fully connected to what you are trying to charge. You would also thing this is no big deal with the USB cable, however the USB cable will not charge anything you plug into it. All it does is power something like mini speakers(which is the only useful thing I can say about it). So it doesn't really charge things very well because of cheap cables. Furthermore charging it in the sun doesn't really work, I live in the middle of the desert with long days of bright sun and have left the charger outside for two days, It still wouldn't charge my phone for longer then a couple seconds even if I held the cable in my phone cause it won't charge unless you are holding the cable in place. However the one useful thing is you can charge the battery in the solar panel from the wall and use it with the USB cable to power mini speakers that can be powered by a USB. For 10$ you can't really expect it to be perfect but there is too many problems for this to be worth anything.Pros:Can power mini speakersCons:Doesn't charge in sun very well or at allThe cables are very cheaply made The Solar Charger is very cheaply made It doesn't work like they described it would Merchant Response:Sorry for the inconvenience caused. This is counter-productive when you want hold your phone. It does charge phones quickly, which is good. I took the unit one day while out and about with friends shopping thinking I could charge my phone on the drive home. It was a nice hot day and when we returned back to her car the unit had re-charged it’s self from the heat in the truck. The only knock on this unit is that the adapter accessories and cables feel cheap and the wiring of the cables and adapters are a little loose. You sometimes have to move the cables/adapters around to make sure your phone is actually charging.
