Very strong battery. Will charge and run flashlight almost indefinitely. works on all three input sources and has good system for letting you know where the charge stands. This will prove to be a very valuable addition to the travel package or for emergency use when electricity is out.
Pros:
Very long lasting charge. Very strong long lasting flashlight. Very quick recharge with solar. Good power indicators for percent of charge remaining.
Cons:
A little bit larger than I would like, but that is manageable.

Super phone power backupt
By Bob McAlister from Garland, TX on August 11, 2012
Several days a week I run down my battery on my Thunderbolt and the Solar Charger steps right up and finishes the day without a problem. When not being used I just leave it out on my desk in front of a window recharging. Only twice have I plugged it in to recharge. Highly recommend it!
Pros:
Small size
Easy to use

dissatisfied
By Tra from CT on August 10, 2012
I was not happy with this product, it was a waste of money because I had to go buy a replacement item. input and output switch is not easily accessible and the Solar Power feature never gave a full charge to unit which was the reason for purchase ability to charge incase of power outage.
Cons:
Input/output switch not easily accessible
Never got full charge to unit using solar feature
Merchant Response:
Sorry for any inconvenience caused. This Solar Charger should be able to fully charge battery, which is less than 2600mAh. The one you received may be defective. May you confirm with us whether your case has been settled or not? Please do not hesitate to contact our support team at http://www.cellphoneshop.net/contactus.html for a follow-up on your case. Thank you.

great spare battery/handy light
By Rick from Tampa. Florida on August 7, 2012
high cap battery in neat enclosure with multiple adapters, charge quick from usb or pop in window for afternoon. Also has very bright led lamp
I use for weekend trips. Keeps Android-Battery-Vampire going when no plug available.
I plan to get several more over months for Xmas gifts and such.
Pros:
High capacity battery charges from sunlight.
Lightweight, not much bigger than cell phone itself.
Can plug in phone and maintain charge at full instead of running down and waiting: it doubles or more my runtime then charges up in sunlight. (FREE!!)
Cons:
Only slight "problem": switch to turn on lamp not obivious or easy to find in dark (when you need it by feel...)
I would recommend this item to a friend.

Thank you for your comment. The capacity of the built-in battery in this Solar Charger is 2600mAh, it should be able to fully charge your phone if the capacity of your phone’s battery is less than 2600mAh. Did you try to charge it via wall outlet or under sunlight? If neither of the mentioned charging methods can fully charge the solar charger, you may contact our customer service team at http://www.cellphoneshop.net/contactus.html within 3 months from the purchase date for replacement, store credit or refund. Thank you.

1.) can you solar charge the unit and usb charge a phone simutaneously???
2.) what are the output voltage settings used for? can you safely set to 9v to charge cell phone? (htc evo3d)
If so does this speed up charging?
By Customer Service on August 17, 2012
Answer:
1) No, you can either charge via solar power or USB/ AC power source.
2) The output current is 400-800mA and you can choose between voltage of 4.5V, 5.5V, 6.5V or 9V, which ever is suitable for your device.

Can I take this to a foreign country? I am looking for a way to reduce the number of outlet converters I have to buy. Was hoping I could take this, use the outlet converter to charge it and the be able to charge my camera, phone and ipod. Will this work
By Customer Service on August 17, 2012
Answer:
If you recharge this charger via an USB powered port, then it should be fine using in another country. If you needed it to be charged through a wall outlet, please checked for and get the correct USB to AC adapter with you if necessary.
