Weird interaction with my Droid 4.

Very strange; unlike my other chargers, this one does strange things with my phone.
1. When the phone is plugged in, the charger will not allow use of the phone, unlike my other chargers that allow me to use the phone simultaneously with charging.
2. When plugged in, my phone cycles thought parts of the Droid menu, some that I have seen and some I never knew existed. For instance, when I woke up last week and went to my charging phone, my screen was in Spanish last and was on settings that I never would use. It has actually caused me some problems that I cannot solve, so I am going to the Verizon store to see if they can remedy.
3. I was thinking of returning it, but by the time I pack it and ship it, it doesn't seem worth it.
4. This is a reflection on the product only, not on Cell Phone Shop, which I consider the best bargain of any retailer I have ever used.

Interacted with phone and changed settings each time I used it.
Didn't allow use of the phone while charging.

Extra charger for travel

I liked the fact that the cord rewinds into the unit. The other one I have does not and have to keep it in one of those small sandwich bags when carrying it around.
Pros:
retactable cord and small size
Cons:
can tend to get warm
