this little feature saved my phone. phone fell out of my pocket hit ceramic tile floor, case separated but did not break. it also helped protect phone. i snapped it back on the phone and it is still as good as new.
Pros:
it also enhances the look of the phone.
Cons:
have to remove in order to plug in portable charger

I would recommend this item to a friend.

I had a similar cover for my iPhone 3 and it kept scratches from ruining my phone. It works dine. I dropped it once and it saved my phone. Comes off without tools.
Pros:
Slim and almost invisible
