Sounds like a good idea
By daniel rumke from Bowie, MD on July 8, 2012
I have not purchase nor have I used this item. But having said that, I would love it if you have a "stand alone" charger for c771 lithium 3.7v 1460 or 1500mAh. I have 2 batteries, a USB plug in charger, a docker charger, but no "stand alone" charger. Ok, I am anal about having a barrery with a full charger when I leave the house. I purchased a "stand alone" charger that was junk to me since it was a "universal" type with movable electrodes. It worked once after many false starts, tried it again, and a plastic part failed which rendered it unusable. I have had plastic forks with more resilance. I know, wah wah me, but I would like to get a charger that does not require a connection to my phone. Any help would be appreciated since I cant spend the money on a commando so I can always leave home with it.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Good for Emergency
By Shaun from Washington, DC on June 26, 2012

By Karen from Honolulu, HI on June 19, 2012
It comes in handy... I had to used it a few times and gave me half of the battery life. Enough to get me thru an important phone call.
Pros:
Good price, compact, doesn't take too long to recharge. It gives half of the cell phone battery life. It has light signal.
Cons:
It gets got when I'm charging my phone and talking at the same time.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Terrible
By Andrea from Wantagh, NY on June 13, 2012
This was terrible. It did not charge anything we plugged into it and it got HOT! Weird item. Too good to be true, I guess.
Pros:
I liked the idea and the concept
Cons:
Didn't work

Would be better if it didn't break
By Wendy from Beacon, NY on June 9, 2012
I've had two of these. The first one was a gift, and within a few uses, the place where you plug in a micro USB to charge it had detached and fallen inside. But the convenience of being able to recharge my phone when I'm out was enough that I figured I'd gotten a defective unit and replaced it. The replacement did the same thing, although it took a couple of months before it broke. It's a great concept, but poorly constructed.
Pros:
I like being able to carry battery power with me when I'm not near an outlet, and being able to recharge my phone without needing to turn it off and replace the battery.
Cons:
Poor construction, two of them fell apart on me.

Merchant Response:
Sorry for the problem you have had with the emergency chargers. These emergency chargers are well made products and should not fail within a short period of time. Maybe those you have received are from a bad batch only. We will look into this matter to avoid similar issue occurs again. Should you have any problem regarding your our products, feel free to contact our support team at http://www.cellphoneshop.net/contactus.html. Thank you.

When I contacted customer service they wanted me to pay the shipping cost and I had to send the item back to them before I would get another . . Very poor customer service. Pros:

Cons:

It's tremendously handy to have in an emergency.
By Lori from Atlanta, GA on June 3, 2012
I really like having this - when I remember to recharge it. When the phone is about to die and there's one more call that just HAS to be made, this can make all the difference.
Pros:
It's small and handy, and can save you in an emergency.
Cons:
I sometimes forget to plug it in when it needs recharging, and it can get awfully hot sometimes.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Portable charger?
By CS from Atlanta, GA on June 1, 2012
I LOVED this charger originally - great concept and so convenient. After time, the connection seemed to not fit as snug & the portable charger and phone had to be laying “just right” in order to charge. Now (abt 2 months after purchase), it has inexplicably stopped working. When I plug it in my phone, its as if the connection is not made, despite the fact the charger is fully charged.
Pros:
convenience, price
Cons:
quality

Merchant Response:
Sorry for any inconvenience caused. This charger is designed for normal use on daily basis. It should not stop working easily. Would you consider getting a replacement to try again? Feel free to contact our support team within the 3-month warranty period at http://www.cellphoneshop.net/contactus.html. Thank you.

Great Gadget
By Sheila Hamilton from Charlotte, NC on May 29, 2012
This emergency charger has helped me to at least make a call on my cell when I had let the battery die on my phone. It won't let you keep the charge long but long enough to get a call through until I was able to put it back on my charger.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Disappointed
By becky h from Rockford, MI on May 29, 2012
We bought three of these, one for each of us that have a smart phone. Two of them broke almost immediately upon using, where as the port that plugs into the phone broke off. The third one we have not used for fear that the port will break off in the phone. In my opinion these are junk.
Cons:
cheaply made-

Pros:
Compact, quick, handy
Cons:
none, really

I would recommend this item to a friend.

TOTAL JUNK... DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
By Ripped Off from Washington DC on March 14, 2012
The charging connector pulled out of the unit, the first time I unplugged the charging cable. It cost more to send it back than the unit cost. Other item in shipment came already broken. The package shipped directly from China. Call center is in India. The items they sell are cheep for a reason.
Pros:
NO PROS OF THIS JUNK
Cons:
IT'S A PIECE OF JUNK

Merchant Response:

Poor Quality
By RB Trekin' from San Diego on March 13, 2012
The wife and I travel frequently, and there always seems to be a time where we can't plug-in, but are low on battery. This seemed to be a good option. Unfortunately, the third time I tried to charge it, the mini-usb receptor broke, causing the battery to be useless. You do get what you paid for, so this may be good for some folks and some situations. Not for me.
Pros:
Nice idea
Cons:
Easily Broken

Merchant Response:
Thank you for your comment. The emergency charger is guaranteed with good quality and should not break easily. Maybe it is damaged during delivery. We will check and improve the packaging of the product to avoid damages in the shipping process. Would you consider getting a replacement to try again? Convenience when travelling
By AaronN from Brisbane, Australia on February 23, 2012
As someone who travels long journeys, an unfortunate situation I often find myself in is a mobile with no power, and a lack of power points. If there is a power point around, it is often in an annoying position. This item makes travelling a lot easier. I purchased two. Upon receiving the item, you will need to charge for some length of time, preferably off a micro USB wall charger. The instructions are bare, and therefore you do not initially know how to know when the device in charged, but waiting until all three lights, and the main charging light are lit. When connecting to the device to the phone, the device and phone will need to be sat on a flat surface, and left, as movement tends to stop the device charging. I also need to stress that you have to be careful with the device, as poor build quality means it is very easy to damage it. In fact one of two portable chargers that I purchased has been broken by simply pulling it out the charger, with no forced used. So in summary, the quality leaves much to be desired, however if you are someone that needs power on the move, then you will find the device valuable, especially considering the price paid for it.
Pros:
Convenience
Cons:
Build quality

I would recommend this item to a friend.

WORKS WELL
By SHADY from NORTH CAROLINA on February 22, 2012
WORKS WELL, BUT YOU HAVE TO TAKE COVER OFF TO USE.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

It's OK
By 4myshasta from Cedarburg, WI on February 20, 2012
I'd say get it. It's so CHEAP and it's IS a peace of mind if you fear battery drainage which happens to mine all the time, then you get it. You HAVE to charge the backup battery also. I don't know but the battery can be plugged into phone and charger connects to battery and POSSIBLY charge 2 at once. (Never tried it.)
Pros:
Call Quality, Works
Cons:
Battery Life, Weight, Falls out of phone, Big

I would recommend this item to a friend.
