Several times throughout ONE song, we would have to stop and find another channel! This tuner has eliminated ALL of that. And I love that I don't have cords hanging everywhere. This stores my iPhone safely and allows the screen to be visible so I can see incoming texts or calls. I've search around and simialr units were very expensive! I was skeptical about the quality of this unit at such a low price but decided to take a chance. I am glad I did! Where the iPhone goes in is too narrow and it falls off. I sent the merchant an email and they first asked if I wanted to replace it. I asked if I could exchange it with another type of transmitter. They responded with no and that they would not give me a refund except for the shipping. It is without question the best setup (for my car at least). It elevates the phone so it can be operated without fumbling with cables in the cupholder and moves GPS maps closer to your natural line of sight. It charges the iPhone while transmitting. It comes with a spare spark plug and multiple holding size adapters. It is simple to change the station it is transmitting through, etc... THE PROBLEM: Everything is crystal clear until the song plays bass notes. At that moment, crystal clear becomes static mud. Possibly a defective unit? I like to listen to audio books, and I've found that to keep my place I just need to push pause on the iPod when I get out of the car. I have a built-in iPod player in my Subaru, but this device works better than the factory installed one. Instead of paying $250 to install an Iphone compatible stereo into my car, I just use this. Reception is usually perfect, I only have trouble in one area of town, but I just switch stations in that case. It has a very tight fit in the plug, so be careful removing it. Some protective Iphone covers will not fit, but if you don't add the padding or the frame that comes with it, you'll have more room.
