i have a blackberry curve 8530; does this keyboard snap on to the phone ? if so, this appears to have 1 letter per key and 1 number per key which is what I want......if this so ??

Sorry, this keyboard does not snap on to the phone. The number keys and the punctuation keys are for 2 inputs, eg. key "1" will be the same key for "!", like what you see on most keyboards.
