This product works as advertised. It is rugged and provides the padding to resist damage when dropped. Keeps dust out with a very tight fit.
Pros:
Sturdy, rugged, access to iPad buttons
Cons:
Little difficult to install pad into case

does this make the ipad bigger and heavier like the otter box for the iphone?

It adds about 15 ounces to the weight of the iPad. To some this is alot of weight, but I think if you consider the protection the case will give you, it's worth a few ounces. I carry my iPad in the case in an universal sleeve and have no problem with the extra weight. I would definitely recommend this case.
