I have had 2 of these. Both died quickly. The second one didn't last 1 day, Don't waste your money.

So far so good , blocking tracking device on company hand held radio , but still able to communicate with dispatch. Doing my job as usual ,just don't need to be tracked like some kind of animal ,,,Oooo what am I ? A dolphin ..

I have a gps built in . I also have one on my phone . both worked just fine .The red light came on the device ,but had no effect on my gps.

Worked for 30 seconds

I was really looking forward to getting this product, and when I did I was very dissappointed. I attached the antenna, popped it in and started my Garmin GPS. It initially froze the GPS and for all intense purposes "worked" and after about 30 seconds, the green LED turned off.... The fuse blew... so I just popped in the spare, but it never even turned on... just blew the fuse again. I can plug other devices in and they work just fine, so that would definitely mean that this product was defective or made with very inexpensive parts.
I went to radio shack and got some "slow blow" fuses and it blew 2 more of those... now I have to return it which is a real pain. I'm going to try another one and see if I just got a lemon, but at this point ... it's $13.99 and you are getting what you pay for I think.
If the next one doesn't work I might just get a refund and purchase a higher grade product. Hopefully I will get a good one this time, as it is the best price I've seen.

There is no backup battery.. If somebody has GPS bug on your car.. they will find it where you are .. as soon as you switch off you car..So back up battery required.

Let me begin by saying that I received the Car Anti-Tracker GPS Signal Blocker within a reasonable time frame from placing my order. The packaging was suitable for the items size and fragility. Upon opening my GPS signal blocker I immediately tested it in my car with both a Garmin NUVI 265 GPS unit and a Motorola ES 400, the GPS signal was blocked after about 30 seconds from being plugged into the cigarette lighter. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to purchase one in the near future.

It is a very non-descript device with no instructions. So I plugged it in and hoped for the best. Other than a little red LED, I had no way of knowing it was actually working until I tried using the GPS mapping on a phone app. It had no idea where I was. I unplugged the device and tried the mapping system again and it worked perfectly, so that proved it does indeed block outgoing GPS coordinates from being sent. My car has built-in GPS and it doesn't effect it except for a couple of times it, too, was way off from where I was. I unplugged the device and the map went back, but 99% of the time, it doesn't interfere with received GPS signals.
Pros:
I like it is simple and small, and inexpensive.
Cons:
Better documentation and it does interfere with the car's Navigation system, but only rarely.

It defiantly Does it's job BUT realize it also blocks personal GPS (TomTom ect.) signal's too so as long as you know where you are and where your going BUT just don't want anyone else knowing This is a great little Gizmo to have.

I purchased this item on a whim, because it was what I considered a worthy price for such a devise. I was skeptical at its functionality but once finaly recieveing this anti tracker and using it I was elated to see that it actualy soes what it says. The job I do is GPS tracked by my employer for getting more productivity out of a dead horse. Ha Ha...Not that we are over used as it is. But by plugging this device into our 12v outlet in the vehicle and waiting approximatly one minute for the device to disrupt the GPS signal of our Vehicle our rectile on the map locator goes from active to unable to determine location on the mapping screen of our onboard cad system. This intern allows us to do what we need to do from time to time to make our job bearable when needed. We can drive where we need to and the GPS tracking icon stays put at the location we were at when we plugged our little device in, once we unplug the traker the on board GPS reaquires our position and we are back on the grid.The device does what it says, it sends out a signal that disrupts your onboard GPS signal. allowing you the freedom you deserve from big brother(i.e. your boss) but please use it responsibly.

I bought this device not knowing if it would work ... I quickly found out it does everything it says it will do. I plugged it in in my work vehicle and within 2 seconds it DISABLED my TomTom GPS device, my trunk mounted department installed GPS device, and my laptops department installed GPS tracking software! I no longer have to worry about my in-car camera system coming on because of my speed which is PRICELESS! lol I was so happy with this device I made an uploaded a video to YouTube to share the good news! As soon as you unplug it all GPS devices start working again immediately.

Any GPS signal being received will be blocked by this device.
The design of the blocker is to block the GPS satellite's transmitted signals from being received by your GPS device, or any GPS enabled device within range of the blocker.
The blocker's design simply transmits a signal on the Civil L2 band and 'denies' any GPS receiver from detecting the satellite's broadcast. This effectively makes any GPS device useless, when within the range of the blocker. Personal security does not require permission from anybody, and never any government, and never from a government that uses the same devices on you without your permission. You have a right to privacy, and the GPS signal blocker provides a small dose of it.
