Doesn't work most of the time
By SBBear from Orange County on May 11, 2013
I've had my jammer for a week. I only saw 40-50% sucess within 10 feet of my victims.

Merchant Response:
Thank you for your reply. Since our Portable Cell Phone Signal Blocker Device disrupts signals from GSM, CDMA, DCS, PHS and 3G networks, thus, it would not work if the phones are on 4G network. However, if you find the unit is not working properly or does not work as expected, within the 3 months from date of purchase, you can contact our support team at http://www.cellphoneshop.net/contactus.html for a replacement, store credit or refund. Thank you.

Works great
By Doug from laural md on April 26, 2013
This gadget is the best 20 bucks I spent every. Shutting up the loud mouth people on their cell phones in line at stores is priceless.
Pros:
Small enough to fit in front pants pocket. Range at least 30 feet. Seems well made.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Great At What It Does. BUT...
By Thuddly from Minnesota on January 10, 2013
Great little unit. Does what it supposed to do with limitations. Such as if you live in the metro with 5 bars, this unit is not strong enough unless you put it within a foot of cell. If you live in the rural or general areas with 3 bars or less, it works as described. The battery charging stops when you turn on the unit and runs out of battery in 2 to 3 hours even if it is plugged in. I need something to keep blocking throughout the night so my teenager can get some sleep without phone or texting.
Pros:
Works in normal coverage areas.
Cons:
Can't keep it running past 2 hours even when plugged into charger. Need an auxilary battery plug in.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Awesome
By josh from Chicago, Illinois on December 18, 2012
Why is everyone complaining, it is a $20 blocker, go spend $250 and you won't complain. I tried on an AT&T Apple iPhone 5 and 4s, Sprint Apple iPhone 4, T-Mobile Google Nexus, Verizon Samsung Galaxy I and II. It worked fine, blocked the data so no messages could be recieved or sent. It says you still have signal but wont complete a call, it drops it everytime. This product is great and would buy it again in a hear beat. Love the car charger!
Pros:
small
lightweight
works great
sleak looking
easily hidable
Cons:
Nothing!

. I am satisfied with the operation and quality of my new Portable Cell Phone Signal Blocker Device, it is small and effective over the 3 meter range as advertised.
Pros:
The device is small, compact and easy to operate.
Cons:
The 3 meter operating range is OK, but 5 meters would be a great improvement.

Not meant to block newer phones
By Al from Toronto, ON on November 28, 2012
This device will block all GPS signals, cordless phone and some cellphones, doesn't work outdoor, doesn't really block 4G signals. so it's good to annoy ppl with cordless phones and to run away from cop from tracking your gps signals.

Merchant Response:
We are sorry that this blocker blocks GSM, CDMA, DCS, PHS and 3G signals as described in our product description: http://www.cellphoneshop.net/blocker.html. Thank you.

Works great!
By Horatio from Hell, MI on November 5, 2012
I've been using this very device for about five years. I just bought another one to replace the one I dropped while driving. Long story... Anyway, for those reviews that whine that it doesn't work with 4G, who cares?? It works just fine. If you want something that shuts down all cell phones from twenty or thirty feet away, then bust out a couple hundred bucks and buy that one. This one is $20 and it will shut down phones in line at the grocery store, hanging out in the post office or DMV, the idiots around you at a theater, idiots around you at church, even idiots in their cars on occasion. In my experience it does have a 20 or 30 foot range, just not in the great outdoors. It works best in a room. This device isn't meant to black out an entire building. It is just meant to make your personal space a little more personal. Plug this baby in under your daughters dresser and watch her go mad with frustration when she can't make phone calls when she is grounded in her room. Plug it in and put it under your car seat to keep your kids from talking on the phone or texting while driving. Tape it under a table during a meeting to keep people off their cell phones and focused on the task at hand. It is perfect in so many ways that you can't really fault it. Sure it doesn't block 4G, but who cares? It blocks plenty, so enjoy it for that.
Pros:
Small
lightweight
battery lasts quite awhile
blocks most of the signals I have come across
range is great indoors. not so great outdoors
does what I expect it to do at a great price
Cons:
Nothing at all. I like everything about it. It is a 20 toy that blocks cell phone signals. If it doesn't block the signals you want to block, then pay $200 for one that does. For $20 bucks there is nothing to complain about here.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Failed 2nd use
By Blackout Bill from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on September 28, 2012
While it does what it says, with limited range, the unit I purchased failed on its second use. the unit got rather warm quickly and the limited range is now approximately 1 foot from device. I have a another user of this device that has experienced the same problem after about a month of sporadic use.
Pros:
Did what it says.
Cons:
Didn't do it well for very long.

Merchant Response:
We are sorry for the experience you have had with this signal blocker. The blocker is a good quality product and would not wear out within a short period of time. The one you have received should be an exceptional case only. You may contact our support team at http://www.cellphoneshop.net/contactus.html within the 3-month warranty period for different return options; such as replacement, exchange, store credit or refund. Thank you.

Does what it says almost
By Cecil from Stockton, CA on September 25, 2012
It does block 3g and older tech signals, but only for about 3 - 5 feet instead of the stated 10 feet. For those who complain that it doesn't block 4g, that is exactly what it states in it's description. If you want to block 4g you have to buy a 4g blocker at MUCH higher cost.
Pros:
Does what it says within arm's reach only.
Cons:
Only has half the stated range.

Takes about 10 - 15 seconds after being switched on to work.

Power switch easily turned on buy accident.

It does what it says it will
By Phil from Westfield, MA on August 14, 2012
great product..range is limited thou
Pros:
knocks out everything it says it will.. wi-fi...cell phone..
Cons:
range is limited

Pros:

Cons:
Never received and no tracking number provided.

Merchant Response:

We would check with post office and try to improve our service in the future. Excellent bargain
By Problem Solver from USA on August 4, 2012
This little unit is really handy when you don't want meetings or other gatherings to be interrupted by the ringing of cell phones.
Pros:
Compact size, over all performance and excellent battery life
Cons:
The power button does stick out like a sore thumb however, if you gently pull it off and very carefully trim it down, you won't have the problem with it turning on by itself.
Caution: be patient when trimming the plastic because you can easily cut too much. Also, be very careful when inserting back into the actual internal switch.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

A must have
By Davidrny from BX on July 25, 2012
This is great to have works great when ur reading a book on a train, and someone is talking loud on there phone. It also funny to see the people complain about the phone service...
Pros:
Power button should be on top. Sometimes it turns on when touched because button is on the side and sticks out.
Cons:
Wish it covered more distance

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Only works with 3G
By CC from NY NY on July 19, 2012
Only works with 3G phones -sometimes. You have to be in close range of the target and if there is a 4g device it doesnt block. I had to buy Another blocker which blocks 4G by the same people and while it blocks 4G in close tange, will NOT block wireless signals. So, while good to have, not totally reliable.

cell blocking
By john from oroville on July 17, 2012
had a lot of fun blocking phones. works only close range but helps meetings from disruption. 4 g is expanding so this is on its way out but for 3g below awesome.
Pros:
works
Cons:
takes a couple of minutes to initiate and wont do 4g

I would recommend this item to a friend.

By Rob from Culpeper, VA on July 17, 2012
I brought this a month ago, to have it in the car to stop my teenager from texting and join in the family ride fun. She never knew why she wasn't able to get a signal but it work. She seen that there never was a signal in the van so she joined in with the family fun ride.
Pros:
Pros: Its cheap, and it works very well.

Cons:
Cons: it stops all electronic signals, even GPS.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Only blocks older phones.
By Chet from San Angelo, TX on July 17, 2012
Only effective on older phones, it blocks about 30% of the phones in range.
Pros:
When it blocks, it does it well.
Cons:
Newer phones are NOT affected.

Simple, Effective and Quite a Bargain
By E from Illinois on July 9, 2012
This is the most reasonably priced signal blocker I have seen available. It is small and lightweight (comparable to a pack of playing cards, not including the antennas); it easy to use, and works well. Be aware that the device runs hot - don't keep it in a pocket or purse when switched on. I have found it particularly helpful in movie theaters and restaurants, where loud conversations and bright screens are distracting, annoying, and already against the rules. The short range (3 to 5 meters) is a good feature: Cell phones aren't really annoying past that distance, and interfering with phones outside your theater or restaurant is worse than the people talking and texting inside.
Pros:
Effective! Simple, reliable, easy to use and recharge. Small, light and portable. Good effective range. The excellent sale price from CellPhoneShop made this a must-try item.
Cons:
On/off button is exposed on the side, where it is easily damaged or switched on accidentally, draining the battery. Short battery life, about 60-70 minutes - not long enough for an entire movie or dinner.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Portable Cell Phone Signal Blocker Device
By John from east coast on July 9, 2012
It works well, however the switch to turn it on and off sticks out on the side, so it is very easy to inadvertantly turn it on or off. The switch should be recessed.
Pros:
It works.
Cons:
On/Off switch

I would recommend this item to a friend.

pleased with product
By jeffrey from wisconsin on July 8, 2012
Solidly made product, overall very pleased. Minor manufacturing problem was intermittent charging jack connection- opened unit up and resoldered the connection and no further problems, Works great.
Pros:
well-built, easy to hold, operation simple
Cons:
battery life could be a little better, but overall is OK.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Blocker works!
By Roger from Maryland on July 5, 2012
This seems to work quite well at close range, but really, that's all you need in a crowded restaurant or airport lounge. Blocks all voice calls, but not sure if it also blocks texts too. Battery life is a little more than 2-3 hours; charges rather quickly with the included chargers (12VDC & 115VAC). Small enough to conceal in a pocket or eyeglass case.

Glad I purchased this device. The cost is certainly low enough.

Pros:
works as advertized!
Low cost.
Rugged construction
Cons:
short range
low battery capacity

I would recommend this item to a friend.

By Tom Johnson from League City,TX. on June 29, 2012
I have used this item both in my car and else where. I got this because I was tired of these people driving down the road -slowly-in the wrong lanes & tieing up traffic like they are they only ones on the road. Get a Blue Tooth.
Pros:
I like the fact that I have something that I can fight back rude people using their cells at the wrong time & places.
Cons:
I wish it had a lonbger range to it.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Faulty product
By David Day from Rome pa on June 23, 2012
The product does'not work
Cons:
I can put this product only a foot away from cell phone and it won't block the signal

Merchant Response:
The typical coverage of this signal blocker is about 3 meters (10 ft.). Did you fully charge it before using? A full charge would help to stabilize the coverage of the signal blocker. However, if it still does not perform satisfactorily after fully charged, please contact our support team at http://www.cellphoneshop.net/contactus.html as soon as possible within the 3-month warranty period and request for a replacement, store credit or refund. Thank you.

cell phone jammer
By Joe Hernandez from Mexico on June 17, 2012
Very good item, small, simple to use, does its job in a small area enough to have privacy when talking to someone.
Pros:
Easy to use, to carry and hide
Cons:
Efectiveness depends on surroundings (walls, other devices emitting different signals, etc.)

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Great device - Lots of fun!
By JACK from Ontario, Canada on June 17, 2012
This works awesome! I have tested this device pretty well on everything. Some things that I have found it being effective on are: Home theater receivers (yup cool hu), bluetooth signals, wireless home networks, cordless home phones, wireless mice/keyboards (some), some garage door openers. No, I have not tested it on GPS yet.

It does not block 4G or HSPA, so do not post negative comments on that please. I ask this because the device description says it does not do that.

Pros:
Wide range of devices can be 'disrupted'
Charges via usb, also comes with a car charger
Cons:
Hoping I can find a better range antenna or a way to add a cable to it.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

Pros:
It WORKS and is INEXPENSIVE!
Cons:
The on/off switch breaks pretty easily. I had a tech geek friend of mine re-wire it with a toggle switch.... works great!

portable cell phone signal jammer
By Lyn from muskogee, oklahoma on May 30, 2012
The device wors exactly as the directions state. It has a reasonable range for my purposes, is small and easy to stick in pocket or purse and the price was excellent! Shipping was fast and easy as well. Overall the device was exactly what I was looking for!
Pros:
The size makes this device easy to drop in a pocket or purse which doesn't seem to hamper its operation. The separate anntenas are clearly marked to allow them to be removed and replaced easily and in the correct order. There is only one control.,a simple on/off button. I'm very pleased with my purchase of this item.
Cons:
The device does seem to heat up when in use but this is as described in the accompanying brochure and alyhough expected the temperature of the device never rises to an uncomfortable level and poses no fire hazard.
