If you hate, and I really hate, trying to hold your cell phone to your ear while talking, this is the answer. Cell phones are designed for texting and viewing not talking. This thing works, sounds great and removes the fatigue and frustration associated w/ using your cell phone. About $5 more than I'd want to spend on what looked like a novelty but glad I did.

Works very well. wish it were a bit louder but it's not bad at all the way it is. The rubbery coating feels good in your hand. I love the retro look!

I bought this a) I missed the feel of a traditional phone handset; b) i find traditional handset more comfortable to grip for longer calls; c) the 'fun' factor of outfitting my smartphone with a 'retro' looking accessory. This handset definitely has an 'old school' look & feel to it. On those grounds you'd expect a 4 star rating (maybe even 5 stars).
My primary complaint with the phone is the answers/end call button located on the inside of the grip. It doesn't work! Not with my Casio G'z One Commando Android smartphone. To be fair this is marketed for iPhones first and then generally for other cell phone makes & models. Technology wise I doubt this is very different than the hands-free earpieces I've used with other phones so I assumed this, too, would work with my phone. Perhaps i'm being too petty, but i'd actually rate this handset higher if this button didn't exist. It very well likely something in the design of my phone, but the button is a constant reminder of this incompatibility.

The phone doesn't work at all. I bought a jack to fit in the cell phone also. You can only hear one of the parties. The other person hears nothing. I threw it in the garbage since I no longer had the box or the slip.

Since my purchase I have not been able to keep my friends

Have found with Samsung Nexus S that if I get too close
to screen while talking the call is cancelled. This
headset/accessory solves that problem - for the most part - I have
experienced a couple (1%) that cut off - maybe due to proximity to
computer/interference? It's really comfortable to use - maybe more
for me than younger generation ? - I grew up using actual phones
like this :-) If radiation issues are legit, then at least you'll
get further away from the phone. Friends, after seeing and using
have asked me to order for them (verified it works for iPhone
too).

We love the idea of the old retro handset that I can hold
