seemed like a really good value, but after several weeks of use it stopped working unexpectedly. Unfortunately it was at a time when my cell phone battery (which I bought from this website, see my review) dropped to a low of 10% and needed charging desperately.

Dual USB Charger for iPhone 5

This works very well with my iPhone 5, charging it completely while still providing GPS information in my '01 car. The charging unit is not long enough to reach the bottom of the cigarette lighter in my '87 car, so it will not function in that car without a pigtail adapter that the charging unit can hit bottom in. Using the pigtail adapter it works fine in the '87. Delivery time was pretty quick considering where this was shipped from.
Pros:
It definitely will charge my iPhone 5 where the prior one I ordered from someone else did not.
Cons:
It is not long enough to work in an older car's cigarette lighter without an adapter.

I bought this plus a USB lightning cord to go in my car. The blue light shows that it's on and working (so much better than a tiny red light on my old car charger for my LG). The 2 USB ports let me charge more than one thing. Charges very quickly too.

Great idea if it works! The product was defective. It would make contact with the receptacle only under extreme physical pressure forcing it down when trying to engage it. Once you release the pressure, it is dead again.

My boyfriend and I had bought a dual USB car adapter from Best Buy for around $30.00 and it worked great.. for a couple months. Eventually it got to the point where if it jostled slightly, the connection would be lost and we wouldn't notice until we went to unplug our phones and they hadn't been charged. We were fed up and planning on buying a new adapter ASAP. I happened to see this adapter on super sale for like $3 or $4 and bought it on a whim. We've had it for several months and we love it. I really like the bright blue light so I always know its making a connection, it's very noticeable when it's unplugged. I'm really happy we were able to replace a crappy, more expensive adapter with a much, MUCH less expensive, better functioning one!
